This tour starts from Delhi. After spending one night in Delhi we take 3 hours train journey to Chandigarh and by coach to Manali. After touring around Manali for 2 days, we drive to Brandinallah where we start our trekking tour to Rupshu Valley. The Rupshu is a large area to the south east of Ladakh, on the road linking Kulu and Leh. The altitude of the valley varies between 4500 & 5500 meter. Culminate, which is extremely cold and dry, makes for little agriculture but a lot of grazing land. That is why it is sparsely populated. The inhabitants called Changpas, who lead a nomadic life travelling with their herds of goats, yaks, dogs and flock of sheep. Which are their main sources of income. Trade and transport of goods by caravans between Ladakh, Lahoul and Spiti provide them with additional earnings.

Camping Trek Cost Includes:

  • All land transportation by Car, Van, Hiace, Jeep, Bus and Train. (Airport/Hotel/Airport, trekking pick up and drop).
  • Domestic flight ticket: Leh – Delhi and local airport departure taxes.
  • Hotel accommodation in Delhi, Manali and Leh with Bed and breakfast basis as per the itinerary.
  • All 3 delicious major meals Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner (provide continental food) and accommodation in tented camp during the trek en-route. Kitchen tent, (Single, roomy Marmot and Big Agnes tents (double for couples), our famous 'Tibetan Festival 'Kamzang' expedition-style trekking Tent' as a dining tent, Toilet tent, staff tent, Table, chairs and Kitchen utensil etc.)

Day 01: Arrive Delhi, upon arrival transfer to hotel /hotel.
Day 02: Train to Chandigarh Coach to Manali /Hotel.
Day 03: Morning at leisure/half day sightseeing/hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Keylong (115 kms. - 06 hrs) through Rothang La/hotel.
Day 05: Drive to Brandinallah (127 kms/05 - 06 hrs. /Camp.
Day 06: Trek to Sokmikchik (4050m.)/Camp.
Day 07: Trek to Tabok (4550m.)/Camp.
Day 08: Trek to Tuzak (4500m.) via Morang La (5250m.)/Camp.
Day 09: Trek to Yabuk (4400m.)/Camp.
Day 10: Trek to Zara (4250m.)/Camp.
Day 11: Trek to Tsokar (4550m.)/Camp.
Day 12: Trek to Rojangkuru (4700m.) via Hermanla(4850m.)/Camp.
Day 13: Trek to Gyame (5050m.) via  Kazur La(5300m.)/Camp.
Day 14: Trek to Tsomoriri Lake (4500m.)/Camp.
Day 15: Explore the lake and visit Karzok Monastery/Camp.
Day 16: Drive to Leh (3500m.)/ Hotel.
Day 17: Full day excursion of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis monasteries/hotel.
Day 18: Sight-seeing of Phyang and Spituk monasteries/hotel.
Day 19: Fly to Delhi/hotel.
Day 20: Delhi sightseeing/ evening farewell dinner/hotel.
Day 21: Last minute, transfer to airport for onward journey.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi, upon arrival transfer to hotel /hotel.
Meet our executive after reaching Delhi Airport. Transfer to pre-booked hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02: Delhi - Leh (3500m.) by plane
Take the spectacular flight for Ladakh in the morning. As you reach Ladakh, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. This Day is kept for taking rest and being acclimatized. Being accustomed to the weather conditions is highly instrumental. Explore the local market in evening. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 03: Visit of the high Indus valley monasteries
Shey holds the old summer palace of Ladakh kings. The Gompa positioned in it boasts of 12-meters high Shakyamuni Buddha effigy, which is among the largest figurines in Ladakh. the scenic monastery of Thiksey is positioned on the top of the hill overlooking the Indus. Hemis Monastery is one of the biggest monasteries in Ladakh. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 04: Leh - Hemis (3505m.)
Enjoy the scrumptious breakfast in the morning and then drive towards Hemis Monastery. Explore the monastery and museum. Overnight stay at the monastery.

Day 05: Hemis - Shang Sumdo (3850m.) in 4h
On this Day, we will leave the Indus Valley, tumble down towards Martselang, and then follow the valley. This valley is slender in some places. We will proceed to Shang Sumdo along the riverbed. Shang Sumdo is a congenial stage perfect for getting prepared for next two long Days.

Day 06: Shang Sumdo - Latza Kongmaru (4800m.) in 7h.
Head along the river having the banks studded with ochre rocks. The route leads into slender gorges from Chukirmo Village. At these gorges, ponies should be unloaded twice. Ascend up to the Kongmaru La Base.

Day 07: Latza Gongmaru-Kongmaru La (5030m.) - Langtang Chu (4250m.) in 7h
There are great vistas from the pass in the north towards eastern Karakoram and China. Moreover, the southern view offers sights of Kang Yatze (6400 meters) and the Ladakh Range. We will take a ridge trail and go down crisscrossing across the scree. Then, the trail tumbles down easily towards Nimaling meadow and Markha Valley.

Day 08: Langtang Chu - Yakrupal (4700m.) in 4h
We ascend up the large valley and after crossing the stream, proceed along a wall of moraine.

Day 09: Yakrupal - Zalung Karpo La (5200m.) - Sorra (4200m.)
We will move upwards until the valley separates. We will split towards right. From the pass, we will head towards a ridge trail takes to another pass. Afterwards, transverse into the valley.

Day 10: Sorra - Dat (4200m.) in 5h
We will go after gorgeous woody gorges until they broaden into a valley. Chortens And Manis are sprinkled along the route leading along the Dat and Sara rivers.

Day 11: Dat - Yar La (5000m.) - Lungmo Che (4010m.) in 6h
It is an easy ascent taking up to the pass, where there is a gorgeous vista over the Rupshu. At times,we are overtaken by caravans of wild donkeys- “Khyang”. These donkeys frighten the ponies.

Day 12: Lungmo Che - Lun (4100m.)
The panorama changes comprehensively and turns into a vast barren plain where the Zara Chu flows. This stream gets dry from August on. You will come across the Tibetan nomads in the region.

Day 13: Lun - Marang La (5300m.) - Takh in7h
The trail crosses the river and takes up to the lovely plateau at 4500 meters. Ascend up steadily to the last pass. Afterwards, it is a long descent on the way to Takh.

Day 14: Takh - Manali by car
There is a long drive all the way to Manali. The routes will transverse Rohtang Pass (3990 meters). We will also come across the verdant wooded gradients of Kullu Manali Valley. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 15: Manali – Delhi
This Day is meant for taking rest. Proceed towards Delhi by AC Volvo Coach in the evening at 16:00 hrs. It is an overnight journey.

Day 16: Arrive Delhi. Transfer to the airport after reaching Delhi.

Autumn Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Delhi, upon arrival transfer to hotel /hotel.
Day 02: Train to Chandigarh Coach to Manali /Hotel.
