One of the tough pilgrimage treks to Annapurna range of Damodar Kunda (Damodar Holy Lake) and Upper Mustang

Damodar Kunda is famous for Hindu religion as called Holy Damodar Lake, it is situated rain shadow are of High Himalayas north of Annapurna range. The altitude of the Damodar Kunda is just 4890 meters. it is cold and windy place. The Damodar lakes are located three days walk north east of the main Mustang trekking route and very close to Tibetan border. Damodar Kunda lies on restricted upper mustang between Kagbeni and Muktinath. Damodar Himal, mountain range in Nepal Himalayas, in MUSTANG district. Includes Muktinath Himal (6,706m.), Bhrikuti Peak (6,364m.). There are 65 peaks in this Himalayan range.

Festival time will be great for visit Damodar Kund as well as from here the views are great of mountains around and upper Mustang. The Tibetan plateau & Damodar Himal to the north and the Annapurna Himalayas massive to the south. We will recommend to you the best time to visitit this trek during the full moon of August in the year, because every year there is a big festival held and many pilgrimages Hindu and Buddhist visit full moon of August.

Detail Itinerary

Tea-house Lodge Trek Cost Includes:

  • All land transportation by Car, Van, Toyota Hiace & tourist Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport & trekking pick up & drop).
  • 3 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and 2 nights in Pokhara at Bed & Breakfast basis.
  • All 3 major meals a day; Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner (provide continental food) and accommodation at best available teahouse Lodges and tented camp during the trek en-route. (twin sharing North Face tent or, normal trekking tent, dining tent, toilet tent, Kitchen tent, staff tent and Kitchen utensil etc.).
  • One professional English speaking trekking guide, 1 Cook, Kitchen boys and necessary Porters. 
  • Life insurance for all support crews and their daily wages.
  • Per member 15 Kg. luggage allow while in the trekking.
  • Special Trekking Permit and Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permit.
  • Medical Kit Box for Nepali support crews.
  • Air Ticket: Pokhara/Jomsom/Pokhara with domestic airport tax & cargo fees or by 6/7 seater 4WD Jeep.

Day 02: Kathmandu – Pokhara (915m.) by Tourist Bus then transfer to Hotel.
Day 03: Pokhara – Jomsom (2,720m.) by fight or, drive by Jeep then trek to Kagbeni (2,810m.)

Enter Restricted Area:
Day 04: Kagbeni – Chele (Tshele - 3050m.).
Day 05: Chele – Syangbochen (3,820m.).
Day 06: Syangbochen – Ghami Viilage (3,490m.).
Day 07: Ghami Village– Tsarang Village (3,620m.).
Day 08: Tsarang Village – Lo-Manthang (3,730m.).
Day 09: Day explore by Jeep to Thinkar Kimling, Chunjung, Namdruk and Chhoser Village.
Day 10: Lo-Manthang – Dhee/Yara Village (4,200m.).
Day 11: Dhee/Yara Village – Bas Khola. Camping
Day 12: Bas Khola – Damodar Kund (Lake 5,200m.). Camping
Day 13: Damodar Kunda – Ghechung Khola (5,000m.). Camping
Day 14: Ghechung Khola – Tange (3,240m.). Camping
Day 15: Tange – Tetang (2,940m.). Camping
Day 16: Tetang – Muktinath (3,802m.).

Exit Restricted Area:
Day 17: Muktinath – Jomsom Bazar then transfer to teahouse lodge.
Day 18: Jomsom – Pokhara by flight then transfer to Hotel.
Day 19: Pokhara – Kathmandu by tourist Bus then transfer to Hotel.
Day 20: Kathmandu free and farewell dinner at evening.
Day 21: Last minute, transfer to airport for onward journey.
