Abi Peak Climbing stands at height of 6,043 metres, lies in the Mahalangur, Solukhumbu region of Nepal and a rock peak lies south of Lobuche East peak known as Cholo or Kangchung peak from the pass that reaches it - the Kangchung-La pass. Despite the low altitude compared to most others it is a real climb, all on rock in good conditions. Abi Peak Expedition does need a moderate level of ice climbing skills as the ridges heading towards the summit of the peak consists of a few technical sections. Mt. Abi Peak is considered as the perfect peak to practice ice climbing and acclimatization before climbing peaks above 800 metres.

Besides, the trip also includes a hike up to Gokyo-Ri for breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu and other surrounding peaks. Additionally, we head towards the crossing of one of the popular and challenging Cho La Pass at 5420 metres on our return journey after achieving Abi Peak summit. The itinerary guarantees proper acclimatization and improves considerably your chances of success.
